Juicy Swedish meatballs made with cream, milk, grated onion and a beautifully browned surface. A much-loved classic served with mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam and pressed cucumber.

Mix the milk, cream and breadcrumbs. Leave to swell for 10 minutes.
Mix the mince with the salt until it becomes firm. Add the egg and combine well.
Stir in the breadcrumb mixture, grated onion, pepper and sugar.
Wet your hands with cold water and shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
Fry the meatballs in batches in butter and oil in a hot frying pan. Shake the pan now and then so they brown evenly.
Serve with potatoes or mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam and pressed cucumber.
The tart berry flavour echoes the lingonberry jam and balances the rich meatballs.
A delicious alternative that lets the food take centre stage.
