FROM THE KITCHEN TO THE PLATE

Method

1

Step 1

Mix the soy sauce, honey, ginger, crushed garlic, lime juice and sesame oil.

2

Step 2

Turn the chicken in the marinade and chill for at least 20 minutes. Set a little marinade aside separately for basting, if desired.

3

Step 3

Grill over medium heat, turning often. Brush with marinade towards the end and check that the chicken is fully cooked, at least 70°C.

4

Step 4

Scatter with sesame seeds and sliced spring onion. Serve with lime.

A DELICIOUS FINISH

What should you serve with it?

🍷
Beer or wine

Japanese lager or off-dry Riesling

Soy’s salt, honey’s sweetness and ginger’s bite need balance. Lager gives a clean, cool contrast; a touch of Riesling sweetness softens the spice without turning cloying.

🥂
ALCOHOL-FREE OPTION

Chilled jasmine tea with lime and a little honey.

A delicious alternative that lets the food take centre stage.
